I scheduled event photo family pics at Epcot with hus, 7 yr dau & 4 yr son. They are at 7:45 and we are staying at POL. Any tips on best place to take pics w/architecture, how to get there that early and what we might do afterward (no park hopper)?

Sounds like fun, Mary Elizabeth!  To get to Epcot at that hour of the morning, you'll need to utilize the character breakfast transportation.  Inquire at check-in and the Cast Member who assists you will be able to provide detailed information as to how to make your way to Epcot first thing in the morning.  Rest assured, though, that other guests will be attempting to do the same thing so as to attend the popular princess breakfast in Norway.  Disney has a bus for that!

As for architecture to say cheese in front of, I'm partial to Italy's architecture with its grand arches and tower.  Germany, too, would be a good choice, its fairytale architecture lending beautifully to a festive Christmas card photo.  Of course, you'll want a photo or two in front of the World Showcase Lagoon, with Spaceship Earth standing prominently in the background.  My hands-down favorite view of Epcot, though, can be seen upon entering from the International Gateway.  There is a bridge that leads to the France Pavilion and if you position yourself just right, you'll end up with a gorgeous backdrop that includes Epcot's version of the Eiffel Tower rising imperially in the background.  I just know you're going to end up with some beautiful shots.  Good luck!
