We have scheduled Disney transportation to and from the Orlando airport but I can't find how it works. How do we check in and what time do they usually leave going to and from the ship

    Hi there, Shawn!

Thanks for reaching out to planDisney. I'm glad you are figuring out your pre- and post-cruise transportation ahead of time, which should simplify your travel day!

After you land at Orlando International Airport, pick up your luggage at baggage claim and then head to the Disney Cruise Line transportation area. If you arrive in Terminals A or B, make your way to Side B, Level 1 - Ground Transportation. If you arrive in Terminal C, head to Level 6 - Baggage Claim. Keep an eye out for the Disney Cruise Line signs, or feel free to ask an airport Cast Member to point you in the right direction. As long as Disney Cruise Line has your flight information in advance, they’ll be expecting you.

However, I always recommend arriving at least one day before your sailing. Travel delays seem more common these days, and I would hate for a late flight to interfere with boarding. When I’m not staying at Walt Disney World Resort before a cruise, I love staying at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport. It’s right inside the airport, which makes everything incredibly convenient! They’ll help you figure out where to meet your shuttle, and the last time I stayed there, a Disney Cruise Line representative was even available at check‑in to confirm all of my transportation details.

On your final night onboard, you’ll receive your debarkation and transfer information. I always get a little sad seeing that paperwork on my bed because it means the cruise is almost over! Guests are typically asked to leave their staterooms by 8:00 AM on Debarkation Day, and most Guests are off the ship by around 9:30 AM. For 2026 sailings, Disney Cruise Line recommends booking flights that depart no earlier than 11:15 AM.

Don't forget to complete your online check-in ahead of time. Having your travel documents (such as a U.S. Passport), a photo taken in front of a blank wall, flight details, and emergency contact information ready will make the process quick and easy.

Shawn, I hope you have the most amazing Disney Cruise!  Please contact planDisney again if you have additional questions.

    Happy sailing!
    Jen
