We are scheduled for December 2020 for hotel, parks, and dining plan....well, we had dining until it was cancelled. Do you know if there's talk of bringing back Dining Plans for 2020 once they reopen? Or is everything "wait and see"?

    Hi Brooke!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am happy to see that you are visiting Walt Disney World Resort in December.  This is one of my favourite times of the year to visit and enjoy the magic!  All the Christmas decorations will be in place, at the theme parks and the Disney Resort hotels, to get you in the mood for the holiday season.  I thoroughly recommend visiting some of the hotels just to see their decorated lobbies.  The gingerbread house at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is beautiful, constructed with real gingerbread shingles, and last year, at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, they built a gingerbread cabin for the first time.

With the phased re-opening of Walt Disney World during the next few weeks, many things will be changing and amended as we move forward.  All Disney Dining Plans have been cancelled and are temporarily no longer offered, whether purchased, or received as a promotional special offer.  At this time there is no official confirmation about whether Disney Dining Plans will be available later this year.  Any existing dining reservations have also been cancelled.  From 18th June 2020 new dining reservations for Guests with Disney Resort hotel reservations for arrivals June 22nd-July 10th 2020 can be made by calling the Disney Reservation Center (407) 824 1391 (for select dining locations at Walt Disney World Resort hotels and Disney Springs).

At this time, prior to the phased re-opening of Walt Disney World, we may need a little more considered and careful planning, but our holidays to Walt Disney World Resort can still be a magical experience.  Please read this information about Returning to a World of Magic and Dining: Know Before You Go, and keep your eye on any new posts from the Disney Parks Blog as more official details are announced.

We know you have many questions about what this all means for your upcoming visit.  Please know we are working to be able to answer your questions as quickly as possible, and we look forward to providing an update as soon as we have more information to share.  Come back and ask as many questions as you like!  We are always happy to help you plan your vacation.
