We’re scheduled to Cruise the 5 night Western Caribbean from Galveston on March 15-20, and I wanted to see what theme nights we have planned for our cruise? Do we get a pirate night? Marvel? Etc…

Greetings, JD, and welcome to planDisney! You must be so excited – your Western Caribbean Cruise is just around the corner. Can you already feel the excitement of Mickey’s Sail-A-Wave Party?

It looks like your cruise will have Pirate Night on Day 4 (the day the ship docks at Progreso). Get ready for a pirate-themed dinner, a special deck party, entertainment, crafts, and more. You'll start to see Guests walking around the ship in their pirate attire starting in the afternoon. Dressing up is completely optional, but it adds an extra layer of fun to the evening’s festivities.

Your cruise will also have an optional dress-up night on Day 2. This is a great opportunity to get a little fancy – think along the lines of dress pants and a jacket, a dress, or a pantsuit. Of course, cruise casual attire is still fine if preferred. Just note that if you plan to dine at Palo, an adult-exclusive restaurant, you’ll want to pack formal or semi-formal attire, or a polished dress-casual outfit.

Keep in mind that the schedule above is subject to change, so you'll want to check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App once you board the ship and connect to Wi-Fi. You’ll be able to confirm when the dress-up opportunities are, review your rotational dining schedule, see when and where onboard activities are happening, and view entertainment schedules.

Are you ready for your time aboard the Disney Magic? If you're a fan of Rapunzel, you're in for a treat, because one of the rotational dining locations, as well as a Broadway-style musical on board, celebrates our favorite princess with the magic hair. There are some uniquely themed nightclubs and lounges, too. Pack your bathing suit if you want to stop by the relaxing Quiet Cove Pool and also experience the AquaDunk!

JD, I hope you have a fantastic time on your upcoming cruise. While onboard, stop by the Guest Services Desk on Deck 3 to speak with a friendly Cast Member. Of course, if you think of any other questions ahead of embarkation day, please reach out – we're always happy to help here at planDisney.

    Wishing you magic,
    Kriss
