    Hi there! What is the scheduled closure date for Bugs Land, planning a trip late August and want to visit one last time!!!!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for bringing us your Disneyland Resort question. I’m glad to hear you have a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth in the works for this summer. Pixar Fest has brought lots of limited-time magic to both theme parks, including entertainment, specially-themed food, and unique character meet-and-greet opportunities!

    Yes, "a bug's land” will close later this year to make way for a superhero-themed land that is slated to open in 2020 in Disney California Adventure Park. While we’re excited for the new additions, my family also would like one more chance to board Heimlich's Chew Chew Train as he munches delicious snacks! An exact closing date hasn’t been officially announced yet, but it is expected to occur in late summer, perhaps right after the Labor Day holiday in early September. Your best bet is to check the Disney Parks Blog regularly for news about the final day to visit “a bug’s land,” but I’ll keep my fingers crossed that you’ll be able to visit one more time during your August trip!
