We are scheduled to arrive in Orlando on a Sunday. We are thinking of potentially going to the park that evening. If we schedule our fast passes, and end up not going and canceling them all do we lose the ticket for that day at the park?

    Hi Morgaine,

I see that your magical Disney vacation is less than one month away! You must be practically bursting with anticipation, and I hope that you're counting down the days until all of the magic and fun begins! SO exciting!

I'm happy to let you know that simply planning FastPass+ selections will never activate a day's use on your theme park ticket, so no worries if your plans change and you aren't able to use your FastPass+ selections. You have to actually enter a theme park and scan your ticket and fingerprint to use a theme park day on your ticket. However, with that said, you'll only be able to make FastPass+ selections for the number of days that you have valid theme park tickets, so if you're not sure if you'll be able to head to a theme park Sunday evening, you may prefer to save that day's FastPass+ selections for another day when you know for sure that you'll be visiting. If you do decide to make those Sunday FastPass+ plans, though, I'd encourage you to cancel your FastPass+ selections if you won't be using them. Did you know that after you enjoy your initial three FastPass+ selections, you may use the My Disney Experience mobile app or an in-park kiosk to make additional selections, one at a time? You will totally make someone's day if they log on to search for extra FastPass+ selections late in the day and the perfect one pops up for them at the last minute! Of course, if you can use them yourself, have a BLAST kicking off your visit with your pre-planned FastPass+ selections!

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Morgaine, and please feel free to bring us any other questions you may have as you're planning your trip. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation this summer!
