Hi Naomi,
You are considering eating at some great restaurants. My family has made wonderful memories dining with the princesses at
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, dancing with Disney Junior characters at
Hollywood & Vine, and sampling African fare at
Tusker House Restaurant.
My family tends to like a later lunch when we are at Walt Disney World. We will usually have a quick breakfast in our room, and then we like to get to a theme park as soon as it opens. We do lots of major attractions first thing in the morning, as they tend to build lines later in the day. Sometimes we will stop for a mid-morning snack. We find that we can experience a lot of attractions through the morning and into the early afternoon, at which point we have a lunch reservation waiting so that we can cool off and take a break. Sometimes after lunch, we are ready to leave the theme park and go back to our resort for a swim. I think that this late lunch plan works especially well in the summer when you are going. By the time it gets to be what I think it the hottest time of the day - early afternoon - you can be headed into a nice, cool restaurant to refuel. This is of course how my family likes to travel - if your family prefers to skip breakfast and have an early lunch as your first big meal, that could work, too.
I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Naomi. Have a great time planning your vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
