Hi Kevin!
You have heard the call of the wild and will be sailing on my favorite ship, the
Disney Wonder to Alaska. YAY! So far, our
Alaskan itinerary has been our favorite cruise destination as a family. Then again, how could it NOT top the list with ports like
Skagway, Ketchikan, and Juneau and some of the most breathtaking scenery and wildlife encounters ever!
While
Seattle, Washington is not included on the
current list of Disney Cruise Line departure ports, that does not mean that it couldn’t become one in the future. And with Seattle showing up as a potential port of call for Disney Cruise Line, I would say they are at least looking into this as a possibility. I’m certain that if they do decide to sail from Seattle, then Captain Mickey will give plenty of advance notice so you can make your travel arrangements in a timely manner.
Since pre-and post-cruise stays are the responsibility of Guests, I would think that would not change. So you would still need to make your own accommodations and transportation arrangements. Typically, Disney Cruise Line does include suggested hotels for pre- and post cruise stays. So if Seattle ever makes the list of departure ports and it becomes the new outpost for Alaskan sailings, then I’ll bet there will some excellent recommendations on hotels found there.
This is merely the tip of the iceberg, so please cruise back to planDisney if you have more questions as you chart a course for Alaskan adventures. Wishing you and your family the most WONDERful experience at sea together!
SEA ya real soon!
