Hi Hannah,
Welcome to planDisney! I am always delighted to greet a fellow North Carolinian.
I am thrilled to see you planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort and am happy to report that as long as you book your
vacation package through the Walt Disney World Resort, you should be able to modify the dates up until the date your trip must be paid in full. If there is a difference in price for the vacation package, you would need to pay the difference. Keep in mind that
resort hotel and
theme park ticket prices could change depending on the dates of your stay.
My family is planning a visit in July and I was able to modify our dates online. Make sure you have created a My Disney Experience account. Once you book that vacation package,
link it in
My Disney Experience. Once linked, you should see an option to Change Reservation. If you do not see that option and/or cannot change it online, you can try
contacting a Cast Member by phone. If you book your vacation package through a third-party vendor, there may be fees for modifying. Check with the company when booking to make sure you know what those fees could be.
Given that you are planning your visit after the launch of
The World's Most Magical Celebration, I would definitely suggest that you make a reservation as soon as possible. Once you reserve the vacation package and link that package in My Disney Experience, I recommend that you make
Disney Park Pass system reservations. In the meantime, review the
theme park reservation availability calendar to check park pass availability for the days of your visit.
Hannah, do keep an eye on the
Special Offers as it gets closer to the dates of your visit. And, always review the
operational updates since policies and procedures could change. Check out some of our other
tips at planDisney and get ready for a world of magic!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
