Hi Phyllis,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm happy to help you navigate the complimentary Walt Disney World transportation system.
At each resort, you will find buses that carry you to the theme parks, Disney Springs and the water parks. The bus stations usually are near the main lobby and, at the larger resorts, spread throughout the property. Generally, buses run about every 20 minutes, so you should seldom have too long to wait. That ride to each park should take about 15 minutes on average, depending on where you are staying and where you are headed. At many of the bus stations, there are large TV monitors that show the arrival time of the next bus.
At some resorts, you also can access monorail and/or water taxi transportation. In every case, you will be able to find the departure spots easily. There are lots of signs and you'll get a map of your resort when you check in. Plus, cast members are always happy to assist.
No matter which mode of transport you use, you will find either special lanes or accommodations for handicapped access. Again, if it isn't clear, cast members will help. At the monorail, for example, a cast member is on hand to put down a ramp for ease of access for wheelchairs and ECVs.
You can roll strollers onto the monorail and some boats. You will need to fold strollers for access to buses and some water taxis.
If you need more help with transportation directions, you can also use the
My Disney Experience mobile app, which offers
step-by-step instructions for moving throughout the theme parks and resorts.
I hope that helps, Phyllis. Please check in again if you have other questions. Enjoy your Walt Disney World vacation!
Wilma
