Jedis are rejoicing at the news that you will be embarking on a Walt Disney World vacation. Sounds like you and your family will be more than ready to journey from your home to a galaxy far, far away! I can totally understand why Guests would want to build their own lightsabers at
Savi’s Workshop-Handbuilt Lightsabers. My teenage son cannot wait until he can experience this on our next Disney vacation!
I see that your vacation begins on August 2nd, and presumably you want to check for the day that you already have your
Disney Park Pass reservation for
Disney’s Hollywood Studios. When you click on the calendar for the workshop, it will ask you to select a date range. I did August 2nd through the 7th to see what turned up. Once I did that, it asked me to choose a time of day, either morning, afternoon or evening. Then the website gave me the available times for each day. I was able to find availability on all the days and various times of day. I hope this gives you “A New Hope” that you will be able to make a reservation to build a custom lightsaber. Then you can say, “These are the reservations I have been looking for."

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is incredibly popular, which explains why Walt Disney World is using a
virtual queue to assist Guests in reserving their ride experience. You'll log into the
My Disney Experience mobile app and select the "Join Virtual Queue" at exactly 7:00 AM. It will confirm you want to join the virtual queue for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and ask who is part of your party. The main goal is to get that boarding group assigned! Later in the day, you’ll be notified to come to the attraction for boarding. If unsuccessful during the 7:00 A.M. time slot, try again at 1:00 P.M. to see if you can secure a boarding group.
