Hi Kasey! Thanks for stopping back to planDisney with this great question!
Oh boy! Less than a week away until you arrive for a
magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Before you know it, you'll be walking down Main Street, U.S.A. with a Mickey pretzel in hand ready to experience all the unforgettable memories you are bound to make.
One of my favorite aspects of a Disney vacation is all the
exciting ways to get from one place to another. One morning, you may find yourself on the monorail heading to EPCOT and then flying over to Disney's Hollywood Studios in the afternoon on the Disney Skyliner. There are ferry boats, buses, and even some fantastic walking paths to get to your destination.
Another option is to take a
Minnie Van using the Lyft App on your mobile device. While there is a cost to use this ride-share service, it is one of the most unique and direct options you have when traveling around Walt Disney World. While Lyft has a feature that allows you to reserve a ride up to 30 days in advance, this is only true for their traditional car service. To order a Minnie Van, you'll need to do so once you are ready to travel on that day.
On that morning, open the Lyft App to order your Minnie Van. You'll see the option pop up and it will provide you with all the information for the ride. One of the perks of traveling in a Minnie Van to the
Magic Kingdom is that you will be dropped off toward the front of the park at the Disney bus depot. All other ride-share services, including a regular ride through Lyft, will drop you off at the Ticket and Transportation Center. This location requires you to take another mode of transportation to reach the front of the park.
Kasey, I hope this information helps you plan for your stay. Remember, you can also
utilize the complimentary transportation from your Disney Resorts hotel to get to all four theme parks. This service will get you there in plenty of time if you want to be one of the first Guests in the park that day.
See ya real soon!
