Can you schedule a capture your moment photo session during a Very Merry Christmas party? Or between 6pm and 7pm? And can capture your moment add magic shot features like tinker bell?

Hi there Sarah, welcome back to planDisney!

I've been a big fan of the Capture Your Moment photo session in Magic Kingdom Park that I did with my husband this year and love recommending it to folks while sharing my top tips to make the most of the experience! Before you book your session near the start of the Holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort, here's a few bits of Princely knowledge that may be helpful to you:

    • At the current time, Capture Your Moment sessions at each Walt Disney World Resort destination such as Disney's Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park tend to only have slots from as early as park opening until the early afternoon. (Though times and availability for this offering across the Theme Parks are subject to change without prior notice, as of this year there haven't been any slots available after 6:00 p.m. or later into the evening.)
    • That said, since Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party ticket holders are able to enter Magic Kingdom Park as early as 4:00 p.m. for a few extra hours of fun ahead of the official 7:00 p.m. start time, there's a chance that you may be able to snag a booking within this sweet spot if you choose the Capture Your Moment photo sessions that specifically take place in Fantasyland and near Cinderella Castle. In fact, when I check the My Disney Experience App or have a look at the current availability online there are a number of dates that have an open 5:15 p.m. timeslot; I was personally able to run a test to secure an Evening booking on a day that coincides with Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party so even though these sessions don't quite happen during the special events themselves, you might still be able to capture the festive flair as an early party attendee.
    • As for the Magic Shots provided by Disney PhotoPass Service, these weren't available to us during our experience but a friendly Guest Relations Cast Member did suggest that it's always worth asking on the day in case anything changes by the time you check in for your photo session. (When we inquired, they were able to provide us with a variety of fun props instead!)
Be sure to keep an eye out for new offerings and slots to book as they are released, and be sure to come back to planDisney for any more tips and tricks ahead of your session!

Here's to picture-perfect memories to cherish over the holidays!
