    Is it too much to schedule breakfast at the Kona Cafe,then lunch at the Whispering Cafe?Not planning on going to MK until afternoon.How is transportation to other resorts in the am, We are staying at PO.Would like to check out other resorts.Thank You!

        What a great question!  I have actually eaten breakfast at Kona Cafe in the Polynesian Resort (one on my favorite Walt Disney World restaurants) and had lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge Resort in the same day before.  It is totally possible if you don't plan on going to Magic Kingdom until the afternoon.  I love transportation questions.  Here is my transportation battle plan for you:

    Take a Disney Bus from Port Orleans to the Magic Kingdom about 45 minutes before your breakfast reservation at the Kona Cafe.  When you arrive at the Magic Kingdom, do not go in the gates, but take a boat or the Resort Monorail to the Polynesian Resort. After breakfast you can explore the Polynesian Resort and then take the Resort Monorail to the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and the Contemporary Resort.  You can take your time exploring these Resorts. The Monorail Resort goes in a clockwise direction, so if you end your tour at the Contemporary Resort, you can go to the Contemporary Marina and get a boat to the Wilderness Lodge.  I would leave about 20 minutes for the boat ride from the Contemporary to Wilderness Lodge (it could be quicker if a boat is waiting at the dock).  Another option is to take the Resort Monorail back to the Magic Kingdom and then take a boat directly to the Wilderness Lodge.  Make sure you leave enough time either before or after your lunch at the Whispering Canyon Cafe to explore Wilderness Lodge as well because it is simply breathtaking!  Then take the boat or Disney bus back to the Magic Kingdom to enjoy the rest of the day!
