When will a schedule become available for the food and wine festival at Epcot in the fall? My wife and I have a scheduled vacation and we would like to make plans around some of the events.

    Hi Joshua,

Every year, I eagerly await the release of the culinary demonstrations, beverage seminars and other special events during the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. Over the years, my husband and I have had so many memorable experiences during the festival. We met Art Smith and sampled his fried chicken a couple of years before he began serving it regularly at Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' in Disney Springs. We've sampled wares from other famous chefs we see regularly on TV and from chefs whose names we didn't know but whose food we now remember.

Similarly, the beverage seminars are terrific ways to taste wines and spirits and, on one occasion, witness a marriage proposal. We think these events are a great value, usually only about $15, and you leave with recipes in addition to the experience.

We've also done Party for the Senses, the Rockin' Burger Party, Wine School and other special events. Not once have we been disappointed.

The tickets for the seminars, demonstrations and special events usually go on sale in July with details being released shortly before reservations become available. I keep a close eye on the Food & Wine Festival website and the Disney Parks Blog for on-sale information and the Eat to the Beat Concert Series lineup. The blog recently had a preview of the festival with information about new marketplaces, including Spain and India. My mouth is watering already!

Thanks for your question, Joshua. Happy tasting!
