Can you have a scented candle in your resort room?

Hey there! Hi there, Christy! Like you, I love a scented candle. It always amazes me how quickly a fragrance can transport you to another place or take you on a stroll down memory lane. They are magical!

I have wax melts with scents inspired by Disney destinations. The one that smells like the Polynesian Village Resort is my favorite. I instantly feel the resort lobby and imagine Cinderella Castle across the horizon. And in a few weeks, I will be reminiscing over the warm scent of gingerbread at the Grand Floridian Resort. It makes the work week a little more bearable to have mini mental escapes to the Most Magical Place on Earth

I wish I had happier news to share in response to your question, but Walt Disney Resort property rules prohibit bringing any flammable objects. This includes candles, as they can pose a fire hazard.

If you are looking for alternatives, Basin at Disney Springs and the Grand Floridian sell bath, body and hair care products with scents that will take you away. Bowes Signature Candles in Disney Springs is another great spot to find candles, wax melts and other items with those beloved Disney-themed fragrances. You just can't burn the candle while in your Disney Resorts Collection room.

Christy, I know this is likely not what you hoped to hear, but I hope you have a scent-sational trip! If you have any other questions, please come see us again at planDisney.
