    I am v. scared of snakes and worried about going to AK Want to do the safari but not sure it’s ok for a snake phobic person. Where else should I avoid? I am ok with images toys etc. as I will avoid, close my eyes as necessary it is mainly the real thing!

    HI Fiona,

    One of my best friends is terrified of snakes as well so I understand your fear.  You have nothing to worry about at Animal Kingdom.  The Kilimanjaro Safaris are a favorite of ours, and I have never seen a snake on the many safaris I have taken.  You are safe walking in the Maharajah Jungle Trek or Pangani Forest Exploration Trail.  The only live snake in Animal Kingdom is at Conservation Station in Rafiki's Planet Watch.  You will need to board the Wildlife Express Train and go inside Conservation Station.  A Cast Member may be showing a python to all the guests.  This is a live snake, but you can avoid this area if the snake is out and see the other attractions in the building.  This is the only live snake that I have seen in Walt Disney World.  In the Magic Kingdom, during the Jungle Cruise, you will see a fake python in the trees that will be on the right side of the boat when you are looking forward.  There are several fake toy snakes by the Magic Carpets of Aladdin in the Magic Kingdom as well.   At Hollywood Studios, The Great Movie ride will have a section that you will drive through based on "Raiders of the Lost Ark."  There are several snakes (again, not real) on the ground.
