Hi when scanning my tickets into the app I have inadvertently linked two cards to me but have reassigned one to my daughter - was that the right thing to do? How can I tell which of the two cards is hers? Will she be able to get a magic band once there?

    Hi Mark!

Thank you so much for sending us your question over and welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet! As I Canada, I know how exciting it is to leave the cold for warm and sunny Florida - you must be so excited. And you picked an especially good time to come to visit with The World's Most Magical Celebration in full swing. I am honoured that you came to us to plan your magical vacation with your family.

Now, Mark, I am happy to say that you did the right thing! Tickets can be reassigned to another person as long as they have not been used. Indeed, if tickets are assigned to the wrong person, you can simply reassign them to the right profile provided that they are in your Family & Friends List. Once they are used, however, they are non-transferable and cannot be reassigned. If you would like to make sure everything was done correctly, or if you have any further questions about your vacation, you can get in contact with Disney's Help Center either by email or by calling one of the UK phone numbers! For help with your tickets, you can call 0800 16 90 730. If you need further help with the website or app, however, you can also call 0800 16 90 749 (UK) or 1800 812 677 (IE). These numbers are available daily starting at 9 A.M., except for Sundays, or starting at noon for technical issues.

As for using those tickets in the parks, you can either get a physical ticket from a ticketing window at the main entrance of any of the four parks, or you can purchase MagicBands upon arrival. Indeed, while MagicBands cannot be shipped internationally prior to your vacation, you are free to purchase them around the theme parks, resorts and merchandise locations at Disney Springs! Since you already reassigned the ticket to her profile in My Disney Experience, you do not need to remember the barcode of the ticket. You would simply have to go into your My Disney Experience account and click on "My MagicBands and Cards." Then, you would be able to assign the MagicBand to her profile without remembering which ticket is hers as it will automatically be linked to the MagicBand. To do this, I would recommend downloading the My Disney Experience mobile app on your smartphone so that you can link those MagicBands from anywhere in the parks!

I hope this answers your question, Mark, and that you can get back to planning your magical vacation real soon! If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your visit, don't hesitate to reach out. As a fellow international Walt Disney World lover, I am so excited for you to come and join us in Florida.

    Have a magical day,
