Ahoy, Rita! Thanks for sailing to planDisney with your question today.
I want to make sure you feel well-prepared to set sail this summer, so I'm glad you asked about your
travel documentation. If your sailing accepts birth certificates as a form of citizenship documentation, you will need to bring a physical birth certificate for your daughter to check in at the port. This may be an original or photocopy of a state-issued birth certificate. If your daughter is 16 years of age or older, she will also need to present a government-issued photo ID.
When it comes to the online check-in for your Disney Cruise, you will be required to submit a photo of these documents. So the scanned document you have will come in handy for that! Please also remember to pack the physical documents as well in a carry-on bag to present at the port. Online check-in can begin 30 days before your sailing date. The photos you submit will be reviewed before you sail, so don't worry if that portion of your check-in is listed as "pending review" for a while. You should receive an email when everything has been approved.
It's so exciting to be cleared to sail! You won't have to wait long till it's your turn for an
adventure at sea with Captain Minnie and Captain Mickey. Please sail back to us at planDisney if you have any further questions. My pals and I are so happy to help.
Happy Sailing,
Adrianna
