Welcome to planDisney, Hope. We're so glad you found us to ask this question. I'm also super excited to hear that you are a
Magic Key holder and hope you're ready for a year filled with magic.
I'd say the easiest way to have your Magic Key pass scanned for entrance into the theme parks is by adding it to your MyDisney account in the
Disneyland app. To do this, open the app and tap "☰" to open the menu, followed by tapping the "My Tickets & Passes" tile. Next, tap the "+" in the upper right and then "Link Tickets & Passes." From here you can add your Magic Key pass by manually typing in the ID number or using the "Camera" feature to scan the barcode from your confirmation email.
If you purchased your pass at the Disneyland site through your MyDisney account, the pass may already be loaded and appear in "My Tickets & Passes." You will show this screen with your barcode to the Cast Member for entrance into the theme parks. Just make sure that you also make a theme park reservation for each visit (this is required). The
Magic Key Calendar is helpful for seeing which days are available.
If you don't have a mobile phone, or would simply prefer to have a
physical pass card, you can request one in person at a ticket booth at the main entrance of the Disneyland Resort. This is offered for a small non-refundable fee of $20 (amount subject to change).
I love being a Magic Key holder and all the
perks that come along with being one. If you aren't already, make sure to follow
@disneylandmagickey on Instagram to stay updated on all the latest news and offerings. I think the perk I love the most is being able to drop into the parks (with a valid theme park reservation) whenever I need a little dose of magic.
Well, Hope, I hope this information has been helpful. If this wasn't quite the question you were asking, please come back to visit us with another one. Here's wishing you a year filled with magic at the Happiest Place on Earth!
