Will I have to scan my magic band after each ride at Disneyland to receive my photos on the ride? Or will it upload automatically similar to Disney world?

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your picture-perfect question, Ethan. I'm happy you've found us!

I visit Walt Disney World several times a year, even though I am a Disneyland girl at heart, and I love how MagicBand+ and Disney PhotoPass work so seamlessly at Walt Disney World. My planDisney pal Brent makes good use of this as king of the epic ride photo. You should ask him for some pro tips during your new Disney World visit!

Unfortunately, the Disneyland Resort hasn't quite caught up to that fun integration, and you will actually need to manually enter an attraction photo code in the Disneyland Mobile App to get your photos. I suggest snapping a photo of the attraction photo at the ride exit, so you can easily enter the code at your convenience. Once you're ready to enter the code, click the plus sign at the bottom center of the Disneyland app homescreen and then click "Link PhotoPass Photos." From here, you can enter the Attraction ID and, voila, your photos should appear.

Ethan, currently, there are only four rides at the Disneyland Resort that offer ride photos. At Disneyland Park, your photo will be snapped while you speed through space on Space Mountain. At California Adventure Park, Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT!, Incredicoaster, and Radiator Springs Racers are the three rides that take ride photos.

You can also use your MagicBand+ with PhotoPass photographers throughout the theme parks, just as you would at Walt Disney World. I also hope you know about the fun 70th Anniversary MagicBand+ interactions inside Disneyland Park. They are throughout the park, and some interactions even provide a commemorative ticket once you scan your MagicBand. How cool is that?

I hope this clears things up, Ethan. If you have any other questions, please visit again. You've got a friend in me!

    See ya real soon,
    Melissa
