Hello Casie! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
My little ones love Dining with Characters at Walt Disney World Resort Dining Locations. We just recently returned from a stay at Disney's Contemporary Resort and my daughter's one "must-do" activity was to eat in the restaurant that we could see from our room (Chef Mickey's).
When you participate in Character Dining at
Tusker House Restaurant and
Chef Mickey's the Disney PhotoPass Photographers are located at a point just before the seating locations. They will grab a few pictures of your family just before you take your seats and
with the purchase of Memory Maker, those fantastic family photos will be uploaded to your My Disney Experience Account and available to you. When you meet the characters at your table, you will have to capture the Magical Moments using your own camera or recording device.
Just before I visited the Chef Mickey's with my young kids for the first time in March 2015, Disney PhotoPass stopped participating in providing printed pictures of your experience to your table. After researching a little, I found that the decision to promote digital pictures through Memory Maker or through individual purchase through the PhotoPass section in your
My Disney Experience Account was now in effect at every Character Dining Experience.
When you visit Tusker House Restaurant, be sure to try the Jungle Juice - it's delicious!
