See where some say if staying on site using your own car is a good idea to get to parks. All but MK. Can you give more on that? How far would you park from gate at other parks? Walk time into the parks as opposed to bus? We will have car staying at PORS.

    Hi Nicole!

Since I am local, we always have a car with us when we visit Walt Disney World and we always drive to the parks, even the Magic Kingdom.  Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios have a parking lot located close to the front gates with tram services if you don't want to walk.  We use a double stroller which can be challenging to get onto the tram, so we usually end up walking no matter where we park at those three parks.  I would estimate that it's about a 5 minute walk, even from the furthest lots.

Parking at the Magic Kingdom is a bit different.  The parking lot is located at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC).  From there you can take a tram (or walk, but it could be quite a hike depending on where you park) and then choose to ride the monorail or ferry boat over to the Magic Kingdom front gates.  It does take longer, but we still choose to drive because we like to leave when we want and not have to wait for a bus.

    Have a magical day!
