If say a 40%room rate deal comes along&we decide to upgrade to WL but then a free dining comes along&we decide that&our original hotel works better.Would we be able to swtch back w/ our original pkg price&then deduct free dining?can only us

    Hi Brandy,

If a better promotion comes along after you book your Walt Disney World vacation, you are certainly permitted to cancel your previous reservation and re-book a revised vacation plan under the newer offer.  However, once a reservation is canceled, there is no guarantee that a room at your original hotel or under the original package will be available.  I wouldn't switch to a different Disney hotel unless you are sure your family would be happy staying there.  I have no worries that you will love Disney's Wilderness Lodge, though, as it is a truly enchanting resort.

If free dining is available as part of a package and you choose not to take advantage of this perk, you cannot subtract the cost of this plan from your package.  Consider yourself very lucky if a free dining promotion is in effect during your stay.  I love the Disney Dining Plan and hope that some day I am able to take advantage of a free dining promotion.

Good luck with your vacation planning!
