When they say you get "one counter service" with a dining plan, what does that mean? Is there a limit on the cost? Can you go to any counter and get whatever you want? Are there tables there or is it just a concession stand type of thing?

    Hi Kimberly,

A counter service credit entitles the guest to an entree, a dessert, and a beverage at one of the many participating counter service locations throughout Walt Disney World.  At breakfast, since desserts are not on the menu, guests can get 2 beverages.

There isn't usually a limit on cost.  For example at Cosmic Ray's in the Magic Kingdom, you can order the 1/2 chicken & BBQ rib combo meal for around $14 or you can get a hot dog for around $7 -- either one counts as an entree selection.

Most of the counter service restaurants have tables where guests can dine.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
