Hey there, Brett! Welcome to planDisney.
I just returned from a wonderful family visit to Walt Disney World Resort, and we have been looking back at our photos and laughing and telling stories non-stop. My family always purchases
Memory Maker because it's a great way to capture our vacation memories, from the on-ride photos to posed family shots in front of our favorite Disney landmarks to Magic Shots, which add fun surprises to posed photos.
It's easy to share Memory Maker photos with your loved ones. If Grandma purchases Memory Maker, she will need to be sure you are added to her
Family & Friends list. From the
My Disney Experience mobile app, tap "My Profile" and then "Family & Friends List." From there, select "Add a Guest" at the bottom, or, if you're already connected here, she can tap your name to see which plans are shared. To view "Sharing Disney PhotoPass Photos" settings, log in to the desktop version of
My Disney Experience.
Once you're properly linked, you'll see her photos in your My Disney Experience app. Here's the catch: if Grandma purchases Memory Maker, she will be the only one whose photos do not have a watermark on them. This means that she will need to download any photos she wants to share with you and then send them your way via text, email, or a cloud photo-sharing app. I usually purchase Memory Maker because I share photos more frequently than my husband on social media or via text with family. It can be frustrating to share Memory Maker because you need the owner to send you any photos you want. If you think this might be a problem, I would encourage you to consider purchasing Memory Maker and sharing photos with Grandma & Grandpa.
No matter how you set it up, anyone sharing plans on your vacation will be able to have their photos linked to the Memory Maker product. If you separate and Grandpa takes one Mousketeer one way and you go another way, all photos will appear in Memory Maker. It's as easy as "bibbidi bobbidi boo!"
My fellow panelists shared their tips for making the most of every photo in this Disney Parks Blog story. If you do decide to purchase Memory Maker, be sure to stop by the
Disney PhotoPass Studio in Disney Springs for some family photos. This photoshoot experience is included in Memory Maker!
Brett, enjoy every minute of your multi-generational visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. My Mousketeers told so many Grandma and Grandpa stories and recalled some hilarious and sweet memories during our recent trip. You will make so many magical memories together!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
