Hiya Rebecca,
Welcome back to
planDisney! We are honored that you continue to visit us here for help with your planning questions. March will be here before you know it, and I hope you are getting excited!
I know exactly what video you are talking about, Rebecca. I saw probably the same one and immediately sent it to my mother since she was going to be visiting me and going to the Magic Kingdom last weekend. My mother is a massive fan of the glass ornaments from Arribas Brothers, so it was a must for her. When we went to
Crystal Arts, we learned that, due to popularity, the materials for the Enchanted Pumpkin Carriage experience were on backorder (about 2 months, according to the Cast Member), so the artists were not creating them in-store at that time. Don’t worry, though, Rebecca. If you still want an Enchanted Pumpkin, they were still allowing Guests to do so. Instead of watching the pumpkins being created in-store, Guests can place an order for the pumpkins and carriages to be shipped home when they are complete. Although we were a little disappointed, we actually found the ordering process really seamless. The Cast Member was amazing, and she walked us through our customization options, including the color of the pumpkin and stem, the text we requested for engraving, and whether we wanted to add a carriage. After we selected all our options, they helped us arrange shipping and provided us with our receipt and shipping information to keep track of the order.
I hope this was helpful, Rebecca. Before I let you go, I did want to discuss the
Disney Springs Crystal Arts experience. I spoke to that location, and while they do have a pumpkin glass-blowing experience, it is not the same one as the Magic Kingdom location. The pumpkins they create there are smaller, clear glass pumpkins that you can add colored elements sealed inside. They are still cute, but in this experience, you are the one blowing into the glass while it is being molded into a pumpkin. If you want a more interactive experience, don’t want to wait for it, or don’t want the carriage, this might be a great alternative to the Enchanted Pumpkin Carriage experience. I hope you have a magical vacation next month. Please reach out if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
