Saw suggestion re pillow case instead of autograph book. I have 4 autograph books so this seems good variation. Has anyone done it? How do characters get on signing something fabric? Will I also need to carry card/ clipboard? Don't want 2 b weighed down!

    Hello Catherine!
The pillow case just came about for my family last year as I was looking for an alternative to the autograph books (we've accumulated a lot).  This was a great idea because it was easier to carry around and the characters loved signing it! Here's what you will need:
    • plain white pillow case (white makes the signatures show up better)
    • Fabric Markers or Sharpies ( I prefer Fabric Markers because they dry faster)
    • piece of cardboard (more than 1 if you have multiple pillowcases)
    • Air Tight Bag to protect them from water or rain
Before leaving home I would launder the pillow cases and use my computer to print a cute iron-on transfer of my children's name to place in the middle of the pillow.  This way I could easily identify everyone's pillow and by doing it before hand I didn't have to keep a space clear from signatures.  Place the pillow case(s) in an airtight bag with a piece of cardboard between them.  The piece of card board doesn't have to be large, a 4"X6" will do quite nicely.  If you have multiple pillowcases, placing the cardboard between them will ensure that they don't bleed on each other.  Then just take them out when your ready to add another signature, you may have to help the characters hold the pillow case taut so they can sign it smoothly.  I also suggest taking the pillow cases to the self service laundry area at your resort and placing them in the dryer for about 15 minutes just to help the marker set so it will be less likely to bleed.  The pillow cases were very easy to carry around the parks, in fact it was less cumbersome than the autograph books and my children actually use these everyday!  I hope this helps and please visit us again if we can answer anymore questions!

    Best Wishes!
