I saw that you suggested using ponchos to cover an evc if it rains. My brother reserved one with a sunshade"roof"attached. Suggestions on covering it up during rain?

It is so great to see you back here, Jaynee!

Ponchos are an absolute must-have for our family. We have a talent for getting caught in those pesky Florida rain showers.

Jaynee, when we are traveling to The Most Magical Place on Earth with my in-laws, who have some mobility disabilities, we always bring a few extra ponchos to throw over the ECV. The ECVs that we have rented in the past did include a sunshade, which actually protected the seat from quite a bit of the rain, so we really only put the ponchos over the front to protect the battery and steering column.

I would recommend that your brother checks with his rental company to see if they have any special instructions. We were told that if our ECV got wet, not to worry, it would work once it dried out enough. But we were still very careful as none of us wanted to get stranded.

On the rare chance that the rain pools on the ground, I would elect to wait out the storm in a covered area. Preferably one near a popcorn stand.

Oh, don't forget to bring your charger into the parks with you! I like to top off the battery when we are having a table service meal or catching a show.

I just know you will have a magical time with your family, Jaynee! Please come back here if we can help you with anything else!

We love to hEAR from you!
