Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Amanda. It sounds like you're planning and preparing for a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation! How exciting. It's the very best kind if you ask me!
If I'm understanding you correctly, you purchased a
Disney Gift Card from Costco (smart move - they're discounted!) with the intention of using that gift card to purchase a Disney eGift Card, which can be conveniently added to a digital wallet on a smartphone. Unfortunately, you cannot use a
Disney Gift Card towards the purchase of another Disney Gift Card, whether it's a physical card or an electronic card. But not to fret! You can still
use the Disney Gift Card you purchased from Costco at dining and retail locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort. You can even use it to make payments towards your room folio at your Disney Resort hotel! You'll just need to make sure you keep track of the physical card so you can present it at the time of payment.
If you really would prefer to have your Disney dollars added to your Apple Wallet, I do have
a solution for you from my panelist pal, Aena. Using her account on DisneyGiftCard.com, Aena combined all her Disney Gift Card balances (up to $1,000) onto a single Disney Gift Card. Then, she purchased a minimal Disney eGift Card, added it to her profile on DisneyGiftCard.com, and transferred her balance from her single Disney Gift Card to her Disney eGift Card. She was then able to add her Disney eGift Card to her Apple Wallet. It's a bit of a roundabout solution, but it gets the job done!
I hope this was helpful, Amanda. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! We'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
