    Saw that Splash Mountain is closing for refurbishment in late August. Is there a set date that refurbishment is starting? We are going to Disney World from August 26-September 3. Want to see if we will be able to ride before it closes?

    Hi Amy,

    According to Br'er Rabbit, "Everybody's got a Laughing Place" and if yours can be found on the Splash-tastic mine wet thrill attraction of Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom, I definitely have some good news.

    Amy, if you will be arriving at Walt Disney World Resort on August 26, 2017, you are in luck as currently Splash Mountain is not scheduled to be temporarily closed for refurbishment until August 28, 2017. Therefore, assuming there are no changes to the current rehabilitation schedule, you will have two whole days at the start of your vacation to enjoy this attraction.

    Be sure to keep checking back to the Splash Mountain website page closer to your trip date to ensure that the rehabilitation schedule hasn't changed. On the right-hand side of the page, you will see hours listed for the times each day when the attraction is scheduled to be open. Simply by entering a specific date you can see if the attraction is scheduled to be open or closed on any given day.
