I saw something about a new program at AKL, Bush Camp for Kids. It stated that it would be happening on Saturdays 1-4pm. Do you have any more information about that?

Jambo, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Elizabeth!

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is absolutely breathtaking! Walking into the main lobby automatically immerses you in the culture of Africa, featuring the largest collection of authentic African art. The true-to-form African kraal architectural design of the building allows stunning views of over 200 hoofed animals in four of their natural habital savannas.

The addition of Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village saw the rise and/or expansion of the Children's Programs such as the "Bush Camp" and "Camp Kidani". During my experience, there was a designated number for booking such experiences, but, for current and future bookings, Elizabeth, you need to consult with the Lobby Concierge at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge for information.

The "Bush Camp" was a wonderful experience which my daughter enjoyed thoroughly a few years ago. During her experience, the group was led through an exploration of the savanna and learned about the African culture through taste testing, as well as, arts and crafts activities. There was a nominal fee, from which, at that time, an amount of $10 was donated to the Disney Wildlife Conservation Fund (subject to change). Please call (407) 824-2222 for more specific direction and assistance.

Elizabeth, you'll be delighted to learn about all the new excitement at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park that awaits your arrival.
