Hi - I saw a question from 7/23/14 regarding Elsa and Anna's wait time at FTH, the response indicated a test late July, which would hand guests timed tickets telling them when to return. How is this the test going? Could you provide more details?

    Hi Kelley,

I was at Walt Disney World during July and used the test method to meet Anna & Elsa at the Magic Kingdom. The test involved issuing paper tickets with a specific return time so that guests would not have to wait in line for hours to meet the princesses. From my perspective as a guest, the system worked smoothly, but I don't know what Disney's evaluations were.

The test was only scheduled to run for a few days and that's what happened. Paper tickets are not currently being issued. The Anna & Elsa meet and greet is now functioning like other attractions. There are FastPass+ selections available as well as a standby waiting line for guests who do not have a FP+.

Over the summer, paper ticket returns were also used or tested at the Frozen Singalong at Disney's Hollywood Studios and at Epcot's Soarin'. These had mixed success.

The Moms are regular guests like you, so we don't have access to any of Disney's internal evaluations about the success of the test or the possible long term implementation of alternative queuing methods. My personal guess is that the paper attraction return tickets will not be used in the long run, but that's really just my guess.
