Hi Jordan!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You are quite the advance planner I see. Same here! I say it’s never too early to start visualizing our Disney cruise vacation. Making a
packing list is important for me because I tend to overpack, so the list keeps me in line. Great idea you have about packing both you and your husband's belongings in the same suitcase!
You’re in luck! Disney Cruise Line does not have size restrictions when it comes to checked luggage. So after you have tagged your “his and hers” suitcase with your Disney Cruise Line
luggage tags, it will be checked curbside with one of the porters. Checked luggage will magically appear outside your stateroom after embarkation, but please note it could take some time before it's delivered. So if there is anything important that you want access to during those first few hours, put it in your carry-on luggage!
Just FYI: Guests may check up to two bags per person, and carry on one bag and one personal item (per Disney Cruise Line’s
Cruise Contract.) I always like to have a carry on bag with our bathing suits and sunscreen so we can hit the
pools and maybe the
AquaDuck (Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy) or the
AquaDunk (Disney Magic) before all the Guests are onboard.
Now that your bag situation is all in order, make sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. It’s an incredible resource for finding showtimes, dinner menus, activities, character greetings, and MINNIE more! I also love using the app's countdown calendar to see how many days before we set sail.
Cruise back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions about your upcoming high seas adventure.
SEA ya real soon!
