I saw a question from back in 2011 regarding sandals and flip flops, and wanted to make sure that policies hadn't changed at all, is it still okay to wear them, and just stow them away on rides where they might fall off?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Lee ~

I am happy to see that you are planning ahead and asking about the Walt Disney World Resort park rules and regulations.  You are more than welcome to wear sandals and flip-flops.  For those attractions that require you to stow any loose objects, you can remove them and place them in the designated areas provided.

If you are a big fan of flip-flops and sandals, check out Havaianas located in the Landing area at Disney Springs.  They have some really cute flip-flops and super comfortable sandals. You can even create your own flip-flops at their unique flip-flop customization station. I forgot to pack my flip-flops on my last trip and headed over to Havaianas to get a new pair.  There were so many awesome options that I ended up getting five new pairs.

Comfortable footwear is a must when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. There is so much to see and do and you want to make sure you have feet so that they will comfortably carry you every magical step of the way.

Please feel free to visit us with all of your planning questions. We are hEAR for you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
