I saw in a prev post you are a DVC member and have stayed at all the DVC properties. We are new members staying at BLT in Nov. Which DVC is your favorite and why? Eventually we would like to try them all too!

Hi, Amy! Our family takes full advantage of our Disney Vacation Club membership. As of October, we will have stayed at all the DVC resorts within WDW with Bay Lake Towers being the last "jewel" in our crown!

As far as picking my favorite DVC resort, that might be as difficult as picking my favorite child...it really depends on my mood! (Just kidding...sort of!)  Here are my favorites and why:

    • Beach Club Villas -- With Stormalong Bay being one of the best resort pools we've ever experienced, BCV gets our vote for the best pool as well as the most convenient to Epcot. We love being able to walk to the International Gate.
    • Boardwalk Villas -- With teens, they like to feel like they're in the middle of the action, and BWV are only steps away from the restaurants and entertainment of the Boardwalk. Also, my little ones absolutely love the carnival-themed pool, and we love that the Studios and Epcot are accessible by boat.
    • Saratoga Springs -- When hitting the parks is not tops, we like to get away at SSR. We like that it's so close to Downtown Disney, and it has a fantastic spa. Very soon, SSR will boast a huge feature pool that we're looking forward to experiencing, and we have yet to stay in a treehouse!
    • Animal Kingdom Lodge/Kidani Village -- We usually reserve a 1- or 2-bedroom villa depending on how many of our kids are joining us, and having an extra bathroom in the living area is priceless. We also love AKL's dining, the imaginative pool areas and of course, the animals.
    • In addition, we've enjoyed a beautiful Thanksgiving weekend at Vero Beach Resort and plan to visit Hilton Head, The Grand Californian and Hawaii hopefully in the next few years.

So, you see, Amy...it really does depend on my mood as to where my family will be staying on vacation. Lucky for me, Disney has a resort to fit them all! Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation.  Enjoy your DVC membership!
