Hi Denise,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm thrilled you're considering an
Annual Pass purchase. I have been a Passholder for several years and enjoy it to the fullest. I tried to time my initial purchase of an Annual Pass to cover two visits to the Walt Disney World Resort within an eleven month time period. I believe I ended up using that particular Annual Pass for four different visits to the Most Magical Place on Earth!
If you purchase a new Annual Pass while you are visiting the Theme Parks, your pass will be active immediately. If you purchase a new Annual Pass from home, you will have to activate your pass when you visit one of the theme parks. At this very moment, when you purchase an Annual Pass you have until December 31, 2030, to activate your pass. While this date is subject to change at any time, there is typically a generous window of time in which to activate your pass.
When you purchase your Annual Pass, be sure to link it to your
My Disney Experience account. Then keep an eye on the Passholder Program for the latest discounts and limited-time offers available for Annual Passholders. I typically check the
Passholder Program before I leave home for my vacation to make sure I know all of the current
benefits and discounts available to Passholders. One of the benefits of being an Annual Passholder is Special Offers for
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. The combination of a Special Offer at a favorite Resort Hotel and knowing your theme park admission is covered make it all too easy to add visits to your schedule!
Denise, thank you for visiting us with your question. I hope you will let us know if we can help you with any other planning questions.
Wishing you many magical visits,
Amy H.
