I saw a picture on Facebook of a Harry Potter Wand that was acutally used in one of the movies. My friend said the pic was taken at a store in DD, but cannot remember the name of the store. My son is the world's larges HP fan. Can you help?

    Hi Amy!

My family loves Harry Potter as well!  I have to admit, your question has me very intrigued.  I cannot find a reference to the wand anywhere, but I have a good idea where it might have been.  Starabilia was a memorabilia shop in Downtown Disney that has since closed its doors.  I know that they had a lot of Harry Potter props and I am guessing that the wand may have been among them.

You may also want to check out Planet Hollywood, a gigantic restaurant and movie memorabilia museum in Downtown Disney.   While in the area, your son may also enjoy checking out Magic Masters - the entire store reminds me Harry Potter.  It is actually based on Harry Houdini, but the feeling is very similar.  Have a magical vacation!
