I saw that for parties of 6 or more during full service meals a 18% gratuity is added. If my child is under 3 and won’t be ordering (but will eat from my plate) does that still count toward the 6?

    Hi Amy,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Based on my experience from when my little guy was, well, “littler”, the answer to your question is… it depends! At buffet and family style restaurants, I found that we would routinely get charged the 18% gratuity when we were dining with a party of five adults and my little one. At other table service Disney dining locations, however, it was more hit-or-miss though, typically, because we were a party of 6 (including my son), we would get the automatic gratuity added to our bill.

If you have any questions, please ask the Cast Member when you check in for your dining reservation, or ask your server for more information at the end of your meal.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. And don’t forget to check out the Planning for Preschoolers & Little Ones page for ideas about how to design the perfect Walt Disney World Vacation for your family.

    Have a Magical Day,
