Hello,
Welcome to
planDisney! It looks like you are right around the corner from a visit to “The Most Magical Place on Earth!” let’s help figure out how to get you to and from my favorite airport.
There are many ways to get to and from the Walt Disney World resort from the local airport. There are other ride share services available, but a
Minnie Van connected by Lyft is truly traveling in style. When visiting the app, I also noticed there is not an option for booking this particular car service. When I called the Minnie Van phone number I was met with a message stating the only way to book these is if you are staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort or are staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, and have a VIP Tour booked. If you are looking to transport seven people, the standard Minnie Van will not accommodate your party. But if you book an accessible Minnie Van those accommodate up to seven people. If your stay falls into these categories you can call 407-828-3500 to book your transportation. Make sure to have your deluxe resort reservation or VIP Tour reservation information handy.
If you aren’t, you can still use the regular Lyft app or other rideshare apps to get to and from the airport. Another popular option is Mears Connect. This is an airport shuttle that will take you to your Disney resort and it’s fairly priced. This is probably the most popular option among those who do not rent a vehicle. If for some reason you were contemplating on renting a vehicle, but didn’t understand all the costs I can help with that because I love to rent a car. While the Disney buses, boats, Skyliner, and monorail lines can get you to and from most places at the Disney World resort, they do take time. When you rent a car you will have to do the driving yourself, but it may pay off in recovered time. Orlando International Airport is one of the largest airports around, and there are plenty of cars to rent and plenty of great deals. You will also not have to worry about standard parking costs at the resorts or at the parks if you are staying at a Disney resort. And look at it this way if you do feel like taking the Disney transportation, you can always leave your rental parked at your resort and do so.
I hope this information was helpful planning your transportation, visit us again anytime!
See ya real soon,
