I just saw that the monorail runs into Epcot so my question is: I am staying at Fort Wilderness Campground in August so would it be quicker for my family to take the boat to magic kingdom and the take the monorail to epcot or just take the bus from FW?

    Hi Kelly,

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel!

Your trip to Epcot will probably be faster and more hassle-free if you take the bus. You will catch the bus at the Outpost Depot at the front of the Fort Wilderness resort. Once you are aboard, it should be a straight ride to Epcot. An internal shuttle is available within Fort Wilderness to give you a ride to the depot.

If you take the water taxi to Magic Kingdom bound for Epcot, you will need to transfer to the Express Monorail that goes to the Transportation and Ticket Center. At the TTC, you will need to transfer again, this time to a separate monorail to Epcot.

Now, if you love the monorail, this is the longest ride you will be able to get on it. It takes 12 to 15 minutes to reach Epcot from the Transportation and Ticket Center, and the monorail gives you a great bird's eye view of Epcot as it circles through the park to the station at the Epcot entrance.

I hope that helps. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you as you plan your visit. It will be here before you know it. Enjoy!
