Just saw the Mermaid School Experience at CBR. We will be at Pop Century in June. 1) Can my 9 yr old granddaughter sign up for this, since we are not at CBR? 2) Do they get to keep the Mermaid Tail? Thanks for all the great magical tips you give!

    Hi Nita!

I am so excited for the brand new Mermaid School at Walt Disney World!  My 7 year old daughter is begging me to take her since mermaids are her current obsession.

My good friend took her daughter on the day it opened and she had a blast.  She said the instructors were so nice and really spent time with the kids to teach them how to swim and do tricks with their new fins.  These classes are held at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resort.  You do not have to be a guest staying at any of these Resort hotels to participate.  It is an hour long class for ages 4 and older, meaning adults can do it too!  There were two instructors in my friend's class and the guests participating were separated into two groups by children and adults.  The mermaid fin is not included in the class price.

The Mermaid School experience can be booked by calling (407) WDW-PLAY.

Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional questions.

    Have a magical day!
