Hello I just saw a gender reveal at Disney land where the gave the envelope to Mickey and Minnie and then they held up a Mickey or Minnie If it was a boy or a girl. I’ll be there on Monday July 10th I was wondering how we go about doing that.

    Oh boy (or girl), Orlando!

How delightful to see you planning your "once upon a dream" gender reveal at the Disneyland Resort this week! It's going to be a magical experience for you, your family, and everyone joining in the fun. I can almost hear Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather shouting, “Make it pink! Make it Blue!” in anticipation!

If you want to include Mickey and Minnie in your gender reveal, here's a playful idea: pick out two dolls, one representing Mickey and the other Minnie, and make sure they're the same price (no peeking!). Ask the Cast Member helping you with your purchase to put the correct plush in a bag for you to take. Then, take that special bag to your favorite character and let them be the ones to give you the good news. How about visiting Mickey at his home for a more private experience?

Some other fun items to use for gender reveals include the classic Mickey balloons in pink or blue, cotton candy in the corresponding color, and complimentary celebration buttons from Guest Services!

Another idea is to visit The Mad Hatter shop in Fantasyland! Choose the baby's first Mickey Ears and hand your secret envelope to the Cast Member who will personalize your hat. They can use pink or blue thread to embroider "It's a..." and wrap it up for you to open together or with Mickey and Minnie!

Orlando, I’d highly suggest purchasing Genie+ Service to commemorate your gender reveal. With it, you'll receive free digital downloads of all Disney PhotoPass photos from that day, plus shorter wait times on many popular attractions (which will be a relief for the mamma-to-be in this California summer heat!). Another option is to purchase Disney PhotoPass+ One Day, which gives you free downloads of all photos taken on the day of your big surprise. Of course, you can always find Disney PhotoPass Photographers throughout both parks to snap some fantastic pictures for you. Just keep in mind that you'll need to pay for each photo individually.

I hope these ideas help you celebrate your Happily Ever After at The Happiest Place On Earth this week, Orlando! If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to reach out again and I'll be able to respond more quickly. I'm always here to share my favorite tips or suggestions.

Anything your heart desires will come to you,
