I saw the event calendar for California Adventure Park on New Year's Eve and found that there is only the World of Colors show. Will there not be a New Year celebration at Adventure Park? is the New Year celebration only happening at Disneyland park?

Season's Greetings Chaewon, thanks for coming back to planDisney!

It sounds like you have a very magical celebration coming up at the Disneyland Resort!  The parks are looking so festive with their trees and decor, it's truly like a warm hug.

I'm glad that you've found the entertainment schedule, it's one of my favorite planning tools for a visit to the "Merriest Place on Earth!"  It does look like there are two showings of World of Color - Season of Light scheduled at Disney California Adventure Park as of now, but no official New Year's Eve show planned that's currently on the schedule.  However, the park is scheduled to be open later than usual if you'd like to ring in the New Year on Buena Vista Street or Pixar Pier!

Over at Disneyland Park, it looks like the special New Year's Eve Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks Spectacular will be taking place to ring in the New Year!  If you're looking to experience both nighttime spectaculars at both parks (which I think is a fabulous idea), then I highly recommend adding the Park Hopper option to your theme park tickets.  Since the parks may have higher crowds due to the holiday, I recommend trying to secure a good spot to see the fireworks early in the evening, I'm sure you'll see Guests begin to claim a spot a few hours in advance.

If you want to secure a great spot to watch the New Year's Eve Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks Spectacular, you can arrive early and take a seat to save your spot.  I recommend having a member of your party run to get snacks or treats to keep the group occupied until the show starts, but it's a perfect excuse to grab a treat from Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor or Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe!

You also could explore an alternative viewing option other than Main Street, U.S.A. such as the area up by "it's a small world" Holiday.  It's one of my favorite places to watch the show since you still have a great view of the fireworks, but it's usually a bit less crowded.  You also could ask a helpful Cast Member that day what area they recommend that evening for the best view.

I also recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog as the New Year gets closer, as well as following the official Disneyland Resort and Disney Parks social media channels.  I'm wishing you and your family a wonderful visit, Chaewon!  Please come back and ask us any other questions you may have.

    Have a magical day!
