I just saw that the Dumbo ride is now going to be closed up through March 30. Is there another Dumbo ride that is open in its place? My two year old was so excited to ride Dumbo.

Hi Haley! Who doesn't love that cute little elephant with the great big ears! Dumbo is a favorite of so many guests, young and old!

Disney has made great plans to have not one but two Dumbo rides operating since it is such a popular attraction. This is all part of the new Fantasyland expansion which begins opening in phases beginning this month.  Unfortunately, it is impossible to predict which day things will begin operating. Initially they hoped to have Dumbo up and running by March 12 but it looks like it will now be later this month. There are so many factors working into an opening and first and for most is that they want everything safe and sound for the guests.  It can be disappointing to many when they come and their favorite attraction is closed to maintenance or refurbishment but they have to pick a time to get this work done and no time is perfect. I am disappointed that the Big Thunder Mountain will be down until May as that is my favorite coaster ride but I know there are so many other great things to see and do and I just know it will be the first thing I ride on a future trip back to Walt Disney World!

I predict that Dumbo will remain in your two year old's heart after his Disney trip but it will be joined by some other great characters and memories from his experiences!
