    Saw Darcie's answer re: Oct. vacation. Planning on going Oct. 2009. Would you recommend going 10/3-10/11 (Columbus Day 10/12) or 10/24-11/1? Trip includes family of 5 (DS 7, DD 6 and DD 4) plus grandparents. Love the site.

    Hi Heather.  All things considered, if I have a choice between early October and late October, I would go with the later time.   One primary reason is weather.   I live in Florida and we find it really warm, and potentially rainy, during September and throughout much of early October.    One of our personal favorite times to visit happens to be right around the second time you mention (late October, early November) because the weather is comfortable and crowds are reasonable.

    Disney also publishes a "Great Time to Visit" calendar and the later week noted is indicated as one of those good times to visit when factoring in weather, crowds and cost.   I know you are not planning to visit until 2009 but this may be a good link for you to keep as you finalize your plans.   Hope this helps!
