I just saw that Crystal Palace will be closed while we are visiting. Any other suggestions for meals at MK or close by? We have already been to Chef Mickey and wanted to try something new. Thanks!

    Hi Laura,

Here are a few thoughts for a great meal in the Magic Kingdom area:

    • 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian has both a wonderful character breakfast and dinner.  At dinner, Cinderella and Prince Charming join Lady Tremaine, Drizella and Anastasia.  This is one of our favorite buffets.  Dinner features a huge variety of options, including a delicious, cold strawberry soup that I haven't found anywhere else on property.
    • Liberty Tree Tavern in the Magic Kingdom is a great choice for a table service lunch or dinner inside the park.  It is no longer a character dining experience, but the yummy, family-style menu featuring turkey, carved beef, pork loin, mashed potatoes and veggies offers a nice break from the excitement of the park.
    • Whispering Canyons Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge (a short boat ride away from Magic Kingdom) is a fabulous spot for dinner.  The Cast Members who work here are hysterical, and engage in some pretty crazy antics during your meal, largely at the patrons' expense!  Just be careful if you ask for ketchup!  You can chose from an al a carte menu or an all-you-care-to-eat family skillet that includes chicken, brisket, mashed potatoes, beans and corn.
    • Tony's Town Square on Main Street at the Magic Kingdom is a great spot for an Italian dinner, and very convenient if you intend to spend the rest of your evening at the park.

Whichever you chose, have a wonderful meal!
