I saw that you answered a ? about POR bus service. Staying there first week of May, hopefully building 80/85. Should we walk to the main bus stop to get a seat or take a chance at the final bus stop?

    Hi Jaynee!

Thank you so much for your question!  We love, love Port Orleans - Riverside, and have called it 'home' for so many of our vacations.  Buses are always a hot topic anywhere on property, so I'm happy to add my thoughts!

    1.  If you're heading to the parks early morning for park opening, I'd think about walking to one of the other bus stops.  If the bus is at capacity before it reaches your stop, another is usually dispatched, but it can take a bit.  Many times, during those anticipated super busy times, buses are staged very close, and are dispatched super fast.

    2.  If you plan to head to Riverside Mill for breakfast or your first morning cup of joe, then I'd just plan on taking the bus from there.  We find the walk around Port Orleans - Riverside very relaxing in the morning, even with kids in tow.  We count squirrels, listen to the birds, and enjoy nature.  It's a nice way to decompress before we hit the parks!

    3.  You're visiting during the 'calm before the storm' time frame (the storm which is summer), so you should experience less crowds as well, so that would play into your choice as well.  It's a great time to visit, as Easter and Spring Breaks are over, and schools are still in session, so your experience should be pretty easy going!

Have a magical vacation, and thank you so much for your question!
