Hey there, Rhonda! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for bringing me your question! Chatting Disney is my favorite, and I'm more than happy to help.
Just next month, you'll be arriving at
Walt Disney World Resort, ready to begin your most magical adventure at The Most Magical Place on Earth. How exciting! With the return of
Happily Ever After (my all-time favorite nighttime spectacular), the opening of
TRON Lightcycle / Run and the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival in full bloom, you could not be visiting at a better time. There is so much exciting stuff to do, see and taste, so get your camera ready!
I think you will be happy to hear that as long as your videos are being used for personal reasons and not for unapproved commercial use, you can take photos and shoot videos around the theme parks, Resorts and Disney Springs. You just can't record when you are in or near any backstage areas. When my friends and I were on
Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour and were brought backstage, photography and videography were strictly prohibited, but our tour guide gave us several friendly reminders and there were even signs posted. So, there will be no confusion if you are in a restricted area or not.
While I don't know the rules or policies on what can or cannot be posted on YouTube, feel free to capture every magical memory made. Once you see how gorgeous EPCOT (and the food!) looks during this festival, you won't be able to put your camera down. The gardens and
topiaries are stunning!
I hope this was helpful, Rhonda, and I hope you have the most magical and memorable time! Please stop by any time with any questions you have along the way. You've got a friend in me!
Say cheese!
Mandy
