Hello, just saw your answer on a previous question about 6pm Tree Lighting at Epcot. I haven't see anything on this on teh Disney website. Can you tell me what this is please. Thank you

Hi, Hazel! There's nothing more special than being at WDW during the holidays! There are many long-standing traditions such as Epcot's Candlelight Processional as well as new and exciting events and entertainment that change from year to year.  Typically, Epcot's World Showcase hosts "Holidays Around the World" which features various storytellers and holiday traditions at the countries' pavilions throughout the day. Then, around 6 p.m., there traditionally has been a Tree-Lighting Ceremony for the Christmas Tree usually located at the entrance to World Showcase at 6 p.m. The event only lasts about 10 minutes, but it's just another one of those "magic" moments for which Disney is known. Unless it's a tradition with your family, I would not plan my day around it, but if you happen to "be in the neighborhood" at that time, I'd definitely pause to take in the sights and sounds. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
